Dr. Melvin D. Wenger
Veterinarian/ President

Dr. Wenger is the president of Orrville Veterinary Clinic, Inc.  His veterinary interests include food animal medicine, food animal  surgery and small animal orthopedic surgery. Dr. Wenger grew up on a dairy farm in Dalton, Ohio, and joined the Orrville Veterinary Clinic in 1981 after graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and traveling. He and his wife, Mim, have 4 married children and 5 grandchildren.  His favorite activity is spending time with his grandchildren (and Golf).  He also serves in various capacities within his local church.

Dr. Jeffrey R. Fink
Veterinarian/ Vice President/ Head of Small Animal

Dr. Jeff Fink has divided responsibilities between small animal surgery/ medicine and management. Dr. Fink joined the Orrville Veterinary Clinic in 2002. He and his wife, Beth, are kept busy with their four children and farm outside of Dalton.  On their farm, they raise grass fed beef and free range chickens.  Dr. Fink manages much of our online presence.  He also serves as the District 8 Representative on the board of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association.  In addition, Dr. Fink is a proud alumni of TBDBITL and an active member of Orrville Christian Church, where he and Beth serve as mentors to the middle school youth group.  It is common to find him working at any one of our three clinics.  Until doctor's orders forced him to limit his practice to small animal only, Dr. Fink served as the leader of the equine department and on the many farms in and around Wayne county.  Dr. Fink is proud to have completed three marathons (to date), with a goal to run the Boston Marathon in the future.

Dr. Gabriel E. Middleton
Veterinarian/ Secretary/ Head of Large Animal

Dr. Middleton serves bovine, equine, and small ruminant clients in the area. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in June 2008 and began working for OVC that year. He currently resides outside of Orrville with his wife, Megan; daughter , Kellyn; son, Eddie; son, Mason; and dog, Piper. Dr. Middleton enjoys spending time with family, hunting, and watching football (mainly Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes).  Dr. Middleton serves as president of the Council for Agriculture Science and Technology.  (C.A.S.T.)

Dr. Marissa Hofstetter
Veterinarian/ Treasurer

Dr. Hofstetter's veterinary interests include small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.  Marissa enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, gardening, traveling, and watching Ohio State football.  She and her husband, Kyle, reside in Kidron with their daughters, Harper and Emery; their dogs, Scarlet and Lucy; and their cats, Ada & Levi.

Dr. Greg A. Roadruck
Associate Veterinarian/ Past Owner

Dr. Roadruck focuses on small animal medicine and behavior at our Akron Barberton Veterinary Clinic. He joined the Orrville Veterinary Clinic in 1980. Dr. Roadruck is active in the community and has been the school board president for the Orrville School District since 1994. He and his wife, Carolyn, have two adult daughters, Allison and Lindsay, and 2 cats, Polly and Sophie.  Dr. Roadruck enjoys canine behavior and is available for consultations and behavior training appointments.

Dr. William M. Yost
Associate Veterinarian/ Past Owner

 Dr. Yost provides services for food animal, small ruminant and equine clients.  In addition to his DVM degree, he has a Master's Degree in Nutritional Physiology from Iowa State University.  Dr. Yost began his employment with the Orrville Veterinary Clinic, in 1982.  He and his wife, Donna, are the parents of three children and the proud grandparents of three girls.  He and his wife enjoy hiking, biking and spending time with their family and cat, Milton.  He recently accepted a job as a consultant to the Ohio Department of Agriculture.  Bill has also recently "retired" from practice, but helps us out when we get into a bind.  

Dr. Judy S. Jackwood
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Jackwood has been a part of our practice since 2003 and concentrates on small animal medicine and surgery. She enjoys gardening, reading, walking, and spending time with her two adult children, Kristen and Ryan. Judy also lights up when talking about her granddaughter, Zoey!  Judy lives in Wooster with her dog, Macy, and 2 cats, Skittles and Madden. Judy has trained Macy to be a Canine Good Citizen and therapy dog.  They enjoy doing agility on the weekends. 

Matt Friend
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Matt Friend is a native of Grove City, Ohio.  He graduated from Miami University (OH) with a bachelors degree in Zoology in 2010.  He then attended vet school at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in May 2014.  Upon graduation from Mississippi State, he completed a one year rotating internship at Memphis Veterinary Specialists in Memphis, Tennessee.  His interests include equine lameness and reproduction, food animal medicine, and small animal surgery.  Dr. Friend completed several externships with Orrville Vet Clinic during vet school and joined OVC in June 2015.  In his free time, Dr. Friend enjoys an active lifestyle of hunting, fishing, golfing, and participating in CrossFit.   Dr. Friend is married to Dr. Lydia Friend.  They live near Kidron with their two dogs, Lola and Leroy.

Dr. Lydia Friend
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Lydia Friend joined our practice in May 2017. She is originally from upstate New York. She graduated from the University of Findlay with a bachelors degree in pre-veterinary medicine, biology, and animal science in 2011. She then attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduation in May 2015. Prior to joining the Orrville Veterinary Clinic team, Lydia practiced in Sugarcreek, Ohio.  She and her husband, our own Dr. Matt Friend, reside in Kidron with their two dogs: Lola and Leroy. Dr. Lydia is certified in mixed animal acupuncture. Her other interests include small animal neurology, surgery , and exotic medicine. Dr. Lydia enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking the dogs, and working out.  She is mainly based at our Seville Wadsworth Veterinary Clinic, but may be seen at any of our three locations. 

Dr. Bradley Dalton
Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Brad Dalton joined our practice in May of 2017.  He is a mixed animal practitioner and can be seen out on the farms, as well as at any of our three clinics.  He is a recent graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Misty Hostetler
Practice Manager

Misty is the Practice Manager of the Orrville Veterinary Clinic. Her duties include overseeing all of our locations and associated businesses.   Misty is a member of the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association, as well as a local/ regional practice management group.   She has been employed here since 2003. Misty is an Orrville native, but now lives in Wooster and enjoys spending time with her husband, Rodney, and their daughters, Jillian and Cecilia. 

Bobbie Jo Paraskos

Bobbie Jo is a Registered Veterinary Technician and has worked for the Orrville Veterinary Clinic since 1992.   She is the Inventory Manager and participates in the Ohio Animal Wellness Group. BJ and her husband, Dave, live in Orrville with their Labrador, Bella.

Jenn Brown

Jenn is the head Registered Veterinary Technician and has worked at the Orrville Veterinary Clinic since 1998. She assists the doctors with anesthesia, appointments, and specializes in orthopedic and equine surgeries. Jenn has been showing Appaloosa horses since she was four years old. In her spare time, Jenn and her husband, Kyle, race dirt track in the modified class and enjoy spending time with their boxer, Harley.

Amy Rindchen

Amy is a Registered Veterinary Technician and has worked full-time since 2006. Amy lives in Wooster with her two cats: Claude and Felicia, and two dogs: Chance and Baron.  She is currently kept busy following her fall wedding with her husband, John.  Amy enjoys helping John with field work, as well as working at a local dairy farm in Smithville.

Doug Besancon

Doug  graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science and Columbus State Community College as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2010.  Doug has a high interest in dairy production as he grew up and still assists at his family dairy farm milking 120 cows. Doug and his wife Stephanie live right outside of Orrville. His interests away from work consist of going to the lakehouse in the summer, hunting, fishing, and basketball.  Steph and Doug welcomed their first son, Jackson, in the Spring of 2016

Ann C. Forrer (AKA Sr.)
Veterinary Assistant

Ann rejoined the staff as a veterinary assistant in March 2015.  She graduated many years ago with a BSN from Capital University in Columbus, and retired last year from nursing at Wooster Community Hospital.  She resides on a small farm outside of Orrville with her retired husband, a dog, goats, chickens, multiple cats and a pet Bison  (Sacajawea).  She enjoys all kinds of music, reading from books (although she does own a Kindle), knitting, and quilting

Amanda Osborne
Registered Veterinary Technician

Amanda is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has been employed since 2005 and is currently the head technician at our Seville Wadsworth Veterinary Clinic.  She enjoys surgical assisting in small animal dental procedures, as well as orthopedic surgeries.  Amanda resides in Rittman with her husband, Aric; daughter, Ava; and dogs: Hanna and Brutus.  Hanna is enrolled in a large study, entitled the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study.

Jess Stutzman
Registered Veterinary Technician

Jess  joined our team in the Fall of 2015.  She is a graduate of Tri-C, where she earned her Veterinary Technician degree.  Jess will be seen out on the farms with several of our large animal doctors.  She is also trained in small aimal and often helps out, mainly at our Orrville location.  In her free time, Jess enjoys running marathons and doing home projects.  Jess and her husband Jason live in Dalton.

Bre Curtis
Registered Veterinary Technician

Bre is a graduate of Green High School.  She obtained her veterinary technology degree at Kent State in 2016.  Bre successfully completed her testing and became a registered veterinary technician in that same year.  In her spare time, Bre enjoys going to horse shows to ride her horses, Jewel and Apache.  She also has three dogs: Tinkey, Nala, and Lulu; and three cats: Boots, Oreo, and Peanut.  Bre joined us in June of 2015 and will be working mainly at our  Seville Wadsworth Veterinary Clinic, but may be seen at any of our clinics.

Kayla Triplett
Registered Veterinary Technician

Kayla joined our staff in early 2016.  She brings a lot of experience with surgery and small animal anesthesia, as she previously worked for a low cost spay and neuter clinic.  Kayla and her husband welcomed their first child, a son, in the fall of 2016.  Kayla can be seen mainly at the Akron Barberton Veterinary Clinic.

Nikki Penso
Registered Veterinary Technician

Nikki joined our practice in June of 2016.  She can be seen at all three of our clinics, with her main focus at the Akron Barberton Veterinary Clinic.  In her free time, Nikki enjoys snowboarding and spending time with her friends and family.

Sara Jo Hostetler
Veterinary Assistant

Sara Jo is a recent addition to our staff. She and her family have been long term clients of the Orrville Veterinary Clinic with their multitude of animals.  Sara Jo and her husband live on a farm with their 5 children, where they raise goats for milk and to make many goat-related products, such as soap.  Her kids are active memebers of the local 4H association and participate each year in the Wayne County Fair.  She is currently pursuing her veterinary technician degree through Purdue University.

Becca Klemens
Registered Veterinary Technician

Becca joined our team earlier this year (2017) and has been a great addition to our team.  She is mainly at our Barberton Location, but may also been seen at either the Orrville Veterinary Clinic or the Seville-Wadsworth Veterinary Clinic.

Alana Hanzie

Alana is the bookkeeper at our Orrville Veterinary Clinic. She has been employed since March 1998.  She also does the bookkeeping for our Seville Wadsworth Veterinary Clinic and the Akron Barberton Veterinary Clinic. Alana enjoys flower gardening, golfing, fishing, cooking, traveling, and watching sports.  She and her husband, Jeff reside in Creston with their three dogs, Lela, Raegan and Fergie.  They have two daughters, Jessica and Julia and two son-in-laws, Joe and Dan.  Jeff and Alana are the proud grandparents of two grandsons, Colin and Logan!

Michele Wortman
Client Services Specialist

Michele is a client services specialist at our Orrville locations, where she is also in charge of our large animal billing department.  Michele joined our family in June of 2016, bringing over 15 years of experience in the veterinary field with her.  She is a graduate of The Ohio State University, with a bachelors' degree in General Agriculture.  She resides in Orrville, with her husband, Gary and their twins, Tyler and Kaitlyn.  They also have several fur babies: Nana, Lilly, and Zoie.  In her free time, she enjoys visiting with family and friends, hiking, listening to music, and playing board games.

Jan Thompson
Client Services Specialist/ Janitor

Jan Thompson is a Client Service Specialist/ Janitor at the Orrville Veterinary Clinic.  She is also a janitor for the Orrville Pet Spa and Resort.  In her spare time Jan enjoys spending time with family + friends; playing with her dog, Tater Tot; doing crossword puzzles; and decorating her house with Christmas trees during the holiday season.  At this point, Jan has lost track of how many Christmas trees that she uses to decorate!

Suzanne Gohs-Chapman
Suzanne' is a Client Service Specialist bringing over 25 years of customer service in the medical field. She graduated with honors from The Animal Behavior College in 2013. Suzanne' is also a Fear-free Certified Professional.  She lives in Wooster with her husband Bruce and has two beautiful step daughters, Ellen and Andrea. She also shares her home with her two fur babies, Frodo and Rudy, two fuzzy Maine Coon cats. In her spare time she enjoys anything outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, and loves to watch football and is a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan! 
Robin Evans
Client Services Specialist

Robin is at client service specialist at the Orrville Veterinary Clinic. She started in March, 2014 and works in the front office.  Her duties include: scheduling appointments, helping clients and performing customer service duties. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Baldwin-Wallace College in 2005.  In her spare time, Robin likes to read, listen to music, go to the movies, ski and spend time with friends and family.  She lives in Wooster with her pet family, which includes two parrots, a Golden Retriever, and two rescued kittens.

Anne Weiser (AKA JR.)
Orrville Pet Spa and Resort Manager

Anne started working in 1996, first as a Client Services Specialist and now as the manager of Orrville Pet Spa. Anne also answers the phone after-hours for Orrville Vet clinic in the evenings and on the weekends and initiated K9Fit Club at the Orrville Pet Spa and Resort.  She lives outside of Orrville with her husband, Keith, and dog, Hank.  She loves spending time with her grandchildren, Harlow, Moxon, and Zoey; as well as maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.
